Bill to Deregulate Massage Therapy in Mississippi Dies in Committee

Mississippi House Bill 1315 (HB 1315) was introduced in January 2021 and sent to committee with no mention of massage therapy. The bill was later amended in February 2021 in the House committee to deregulate massage therapy.

ABMP opposed the deregulation efforts of HB 1315, sent a letter to Mississippi state senators, and encouraged ABMP members to write to their senators expressing their concerns and opinions. We have learned that HB 1315 died in a house committee March 2, 2021.
