South Dakota House Bill 1016 Dies in the House

ABMP notified you of House Bill 1016 (HB 1016) in January 2021. The bill would have disbanded the Board of Massage Therapy under the Department of Health and created a new Board of Barbering, Cosmetology, and Massage Therapy. The bill was heard in two committees in the House, but never made it to second reading. The end of the legislative session is March 29, 2021, but a bill had to make it through both chambers by March 8, 2021, to progress through the legislature.
