URGENT: License Mobility Losing Support in Georgia

House Bill 839 (HB 839) would implement the Interstate Massage Compact, simplifying interstate massage therapy practice and regulation with the goal of reducing unnecessary burdens related to licensure by endorsement or reciprocity. ABMP is in favor of HB 839. We need your help to reduce long processing times and ensure safe, competent, and reliable massage therapy services to the public before HB 839 is tabled.

Previously Announced 2015 Changes to Georgia CE

8/3/2015 Email: "Contact the Georgia Board Now to Voice Yor Opinion on Proposed New CE Rules"

There Will Be No Change to CE Requirements in Georgia

You may recall that ABMP sent an email to Georgia members on November 19, 2014, letting you know that the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy would be considering a proposal to amend the rule regarding Continuing Education (CE) on December 5, 2014. If adopted, the Board would no longer accept continuing education in the modalities of structural integration, reflexology, movement practices, and energy practices.
