Why Should You Use MassageBook For Your Practice?

If you’re like most of us, you use Google and other search engines to find what you’re looking for online. As a result, you’ve become really, really good at finding what you need online. But how good are you and your practice at being found online?

I could spout off a number of impressive and convincing statistics showing how many searches occur for local services and how many local services are purchased online, but you’ve probably already seen them.

The question is: What are you doing to attract an online audience?

A mentor of mine once shared some marketing wisdom with me. He said, “Fish where the fish are.” What he meant is that you have a much better chance of attracting a new customer if there are a lot of potential customers around—so make sure you’re “there.”

These days, “there” is Google—and MassageBook. Google because, well, because Google is used by a gazillion people. MassageBook because it’s the most active directory of massage and bodywork professionals in the United States and has become the go-to place for people looking to book a massage.

While ABMP doesn’t have a partnership with Google, they do offer members an exclusive enhanced free plan with MassageBook that not only includes a directory listing, but also includes the software tools you need to streamline your modern practice. It would be silly not to take advantage of this offer.

How a listing helps your Google rank

Even if you don’t have an interest in using MassageBook as your scheduling, marketing, or practice management solution, you should still get on their directory. Why? You’ll benefit from the collective ranking power of more than 20,000 listings on the directory. By linking your existing website to your MassageBook listing page, it will get some extra “link juice,” helping your website rank higher on Google.

Visitors to your listings on MassageBook are also able to send you appointment request emails—even if you don’t offer online scheduling.

Take the first step

Getting started on MassageBook is easy. Just go to www.MassageBook.com and, after poking around a little to check out therapists and bodyworkers already on MassageBook in your area, click on “Create Account.” You’ll be asked a few initial questions to begin building your listing before being welcomed into the software with a brief video overview of how to get started. Filling out your online personal and/or business listing(s) is easy. Be aware that if you’re a practice owner, you’ll be completing both an individual listing—which focuses on your individual skills, education and experience—and a business listing, which focuses on your practice’s mission, services, and staff. One of the reasons MassageBook is so popular with searchers is that it allows them to search by business or by individual practitioner. Having a personal profile separate from a business profile makes this possible.

The support team at MassageBook has already helped a large number of folks get themselves online and is always ready to answer questions. You can reach them directly with questions or requests for assistance at Support@massagebook.com or at 843-352-2026.
