Headache Essentials: The Foundation for Massage Therapists | Whitney Lowe and Ruth Werner

Neuromuscular Considerations in Cervicogenic Headaches | Doug Nelson

Deepen your understanding of cervicogenic headaches, what they are, and how to create an effective treatment strategy.

 

Structural Dynamics of Headache Pain | Ann & Lynn Teachworth

Learn how the dynamics of the lower leg and pelvis and poor structural relationships among the shoulders, cervical spine, and head contribute to headache pain and discover myofascial approaches to assist clients.

 

 

 

Event Access

The event will be held on Zoom. You'll receive an email from Zoom with your unique link for the event the day you register. You’ll also receive reminder emails from Zoom the week before and on the morning of the event with your unique link. Please save these emails and your unique link for easy access on event day!

 

Course Replays

Will replays and CE credit be available after the event?

ABMP members: Yes, the three CE courses will be added to the ABMP Education Center after the event for professional members of ABMP to view and earn free CE credit. 

Nonmembers: The CE courses will be available for you to purchase in the ABMP Education Center after the event.

CE Credit and CE Certificates

Attendees will have the opportunity to earn CE credit for the courses they attend by passing a short online quiz. Links to the quizzes will be emailed to attendees within 24–48 hours after the event. After passing a quiz, your CE certificate will be available to you in the ABMP Education Center.  These CE credits qualify as online CE hours, not live or contact CE hours.

 

Continuing Education Eligibility

The following states have specific rules regarding content taught in an online continuing education format and will not accept your certificates of completion from this event for license renewal: Nebraska. New Mexico and Texas will not accept certificates of completion for any hands-on technique courses taught in an online format. The courses are approved in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Ohio Adopts Interstate Massage Compact

The Ohio legislature adopted Senate Bill 56 on June 21, becoming the second state to enact the Interstate Massage Compact. Massage therapists will soon be able to obtain a multistate license that will reduce holdups and delays that often occur when moving to a different state.

US Department of Education 150% Rule Update

A federal judge has granted a preliminary injunction that halts the enforcement of the US Department of Education’s new Bare Minimum Rule, also known as the “100% rule,” until the court takes further action. This is the first step in what could be a lengthy battle to ultimately delay enforcement of the rule, providing schools more time to adjust their programmatic standards, or overturn the rule altogether. Colorado Bill Requires Local Background Checks

Governor Jared Polis signed into law House Bill 24-1371, requiring local government (counties, cities, or municipalities) to conduct periodic criminal background checks for massage establishment operators, owners, and employees.
