ABMP CE Socials April 2021: “A Website That Works” with Massage Business Blueprint

The next event in the ABMP CE Socials series is open for registration at abmp.com/ce-socials. ABMP CE Socials allow you to connect and engage with your massage community, experts in the field, and ABMP as you learn and earn CE!

On Wednesday, April 28, massage therapists and bodyworkers can join us live in our virtual classroom for the brand-new course “A Website That Works” with Massage Business Blueprint. The interactive experience is free for ABMP members and $15 for nonmembers, and includes live event access, your CE certificate, and ongoing access to the course in the ABMP Education Center.

Course description:

A great website can be a massage therapist’s most powerful tool for recruiting new clients. It’s also a little bit of a mystery if you’re not familiar with basic internet marketing. If you’ve ever wondered, “Is there something missing from my website costing me potential clients?” or “Why do I keep getting clients who aren’t right for me?” you’re not alone.

Join Allissa and Michael of Massage Business Blueprint as they help you understand the basics of what makes a website work. Even better, they’ve chosen a few of YOUR websites to review. They’ll share what’s looking great, point out what can be improved, and provide clear advice on how to improve it. Make sure your website is a website that works!

ABMP CE Socials bring attendees together to watch the course on our live event platform with the opportunity to interact and ask questions to the presenter, and after the course we transition to a live, interactive Q&A session with the presenter. At the conclusion of the event, the course will be available in the ABMP Education Center.

Ohio Adopts Interstate Massage Compact

The Ohio legislature adopted Senate Bill 56 on June 21, becoming the second state to enact the Interstate Massage Compact. Massage therapists will soon be able to obtain a multistate license that will reduce holdups and delays that often occur when moving to a different state.

US Department of Education 150% Rule Update

A federal judge has granted a preliminary injunction that halts the enforcement of the US Department of Education’s new Bare Minimum Rule, also known as the “100% rule,” until the court takes further action. This is the first step in what could be a lengthy battle to ultimately delay enforcement of the rule, providing schools more time to adjust their programmatic standards, or overturn the rule altogether. Colorado Bill Requires Local Background Checks

Governor Jared Polis signed into law House Bill 24-1371, requiring local government (counties, cities, or municipalities) to conduct periodic criminal background checks for massage establishment operators, owners, and employees.
