Terrance Bonner

Angie Parris-Raney

Angie Parris-Raney is a licensed massage therapist and the advertising director for ABMP. She is Chopra Center Certified in meditation and ayurvedic lifestyle. Her training explores physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. You can see Angie in ABMP’s Meditate & Move series that runs every Wednesday on ABMP’s Facebook page. Joi Edwards

Dr. Joi Edwards is both a licensed massage therapist and a licensed physical therapist.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation, a doctorate degree in physical therapy, and has a specialization in orthopedic manual therapy.  She has extensive experience in the orthopedic field with both injuries and surgical conditions. She works full time as a physical therapist, owns her own continuing education company (Owlchemy Education) and successfully fuses the science of orthopedics with the art and intuition of massage, bridging both worlds together with the magic of silicone cups! Chrish Kresge

Chrish Kresge has been teaching the Feldenkrais Method across the world for over 22 years in places such as the US, Ghana, Morocco, France, and Nepal. She works with people of all ages and abilities, using movement as the primary tool for improving function, self-awareness, posture, voice, and wellness. She is passionate about using her diverse skills and background to help people find their optimal selves and innate dignity. Kresge recently co-edited a book about the Feldenkrais Method, Learning Through Movement. Diane Matkowski

Diane Matkowski has been practicing therapeutic massage for more than 25 years and her business, Freedom Massage, has provided therapeutic massage to mor than 12,000 clients. She moderates The Massage Mentor closed group on Facebook and is co-founder of the newly launched The Massage Mentor Institute. In 2010, she was the official massage practitioner for the Philadelphia Independence, a women’s professional soccer team. She is the author of The Massage Therapist’s Guidebook and The Body is Art. Ohio Adopts Interstate Massage Compact

The Ohio legislature adopted Senate Bill 56 on June 21, becoming the second state to enact the Interstate Massage Compact. Massage therapists will soon be able to obtain a multistate license that will reduce holdups and delays that often occur when moving to a different state.

US Department of Education 150% Rule Update

A federal judge has granted a preliminary injunction that halts the enforcement of the US Department of Education’s new Bare Minimum Rule, also known as the “100% rule,” until the court takes further action. This is the first step in what could be a lengthy battle to ultimately delay enforcement of the rule, providing schools more time to adjust their programmatic standards, or overturn the rule altogether. Colorado Bill Requires Local Background Checks

Governor Jared Polis signed into law House Bill 24-1371, requiring local government (counties, cities, or municipalities) to conduct periodic criminal background checks for massage establishment operators, owners, and employees.
