Update here

In light of the current environment, where massage therapists are being forced to practice at a reduced level or not at all, The ABMP Podcast spoke to Irene Diamond about what MTs can do when they can’t offer hands-on work. Diamond speaks about virtual/remote services within practitioners’ scope of practice and other options for serving clients when you can’t provide therapeutic touch.

Irene Diamond is a consultant, CE provider, and developer of Active Myofascial Therapy (AMT) and Active Muscle Massage.

Diamond’s AMT method originated as a result of her breaking her neck in a gymnastics accident at the age of 15 and needing to find relief from chronic neck pain, migraines, and restricted, tight muscles.

Over the years, Diamond fine-tuned AMT into a recognized seven-step rehabilitation and pain relief method taught to therapists around the world.

Diamond is recognized as an industry leader for her work, and she was inducted into the World Massage Hall of Fame in August 2013.

Diamond continues to provide Active Myofascial Therapy in her San Francisco Wellness Center to a select few patients a few days a week and helps therapists grow the practice of their dreams through mentorship in running their clinical practice.
