Tell us a little about Elements Massage Online University. What sort of continuing education and advancement opportunities does it offer massage therapists?
In 2019, we launched the Elements Massage Online University, which is the equivalent of a massage therapy graduate school program within our brand. We surveyed massage therapists and heard loud and clear that they are looking for meaningful career development and advancement opportunities. The Online University includes advanced education in Oncology Massage, Cranial Therapy, Prenatal Massage, and others. It also includes advanced training around intra/interpersonal skills. Our intention is to develop both better massage therapists and better human beings.
How does the Elements Massage brand let therapists focus on what they do best?
As mentioned, massage therapy is the only service we offer at Elements Massage studios, creating an atmosphere where massage therapists can singularly focus on what they do best—massage! We decided to go deep into personalized, therapeutic massage and do it better than anyone else. While other brands have decided to go down the spa track—offering services such as facials—we believe massage clients are seeking the highest quality massage therapy services available. We also provide an array of therapeutic service enhancements for therapists to use with clients, including Himalayan Salt Stones, cupping therapy, and the brand’s signature AromaRitual® and HerbalRitual™ signature services.
What does the future of massage look like for Elements Massage therapists?
Elements Massage therapists will continue to be best in class, highly educated professionals in performing personalized therapeutic massage therapy services. The future includes an industry-leading career development and advancement track for massage therapists to grow personally and professionally. This career track will enable massage therapists to advance in status and potentially earn increased pay for their expertise and experience.
