How do RAD massage and mobility tools help promote self-care for MTs?

We recognize that being a massage therapist is difficult on the body, and staying healthy and capable to work is a job in itself. Massage therapists and bodyworkers around the globe tell us about the various regions of the body they feel are overworked due to overuse, including wrists, shoulders, back, and hips. At RAD, we believe performing self-myofascial release is crucial to offering quality experiences to your clients. With our massage and mobility tools, massage therapists can take their expertise and apply it to themselves. After all, no one is a better judge at how their body feels than themselves.

Do therapists need any training to use your products on a client in a massage session?

Therapists have daily routines and techniques that provide them the guidance needed to make intelligent, informed decisions. At RAD, our tools are anatomically designed to fit the many nooks and crevices of the human body, and they work intuitively within the professional and self-care setting. While some professionals work from the latter, many others seek further insight into the proven science RAD has developed. Some options include participating in our continuing education courses, viewing our how-to videos for professionals and their clients, and many other in-person and online alternatives.

What’s different about your mobility tools compared to other products?

RAD is, well, rad. Designed within the medical environment, we take pride in offering products that are specifically made to fit the body, produce results, offer hygienic safety, and function independently, while also providing the option to pair with other RAD tools. Plus, we back it all up with a lifetime guarantee! RAD has also earned several awards for its level of quality and innovation, such as ISPA Product of the Year. No other provider can offer the quality of both tools and research-based education to professionals like RAD.

Do you offer any continuing education or workshops for massage therapists and bodyworkers interested in furthering their skills?

Absolutely! Our signature platform called RAD Mobility offers massage therapists and bodyworkers the most up-to-date information and manual therapy techniques surrounding self-myofascial release, including the physical effects of SMR, the role the nervous system plays, different techniques, and recovery tools. Our CE also sets professionals apart by providing them the opportunity to learn and practice an easy-to-use, full- body mobility assessment. This way, practitioners can determine what each body needs and where the root causes of potential mobility restrictions likely reside. RAD believes in assessing rather than guessing. The RAD Mobility program contains 15 hours of instructional time and provides massage therapists and bodyworkers with professional CEs from NCBTMB, NPCP, ACSM, NASM, ACE, AFAA, NSCA, and more.

What’s on the horizon for RAD Roller? Any new trends or products you’re excited about?

RAD will continue to develop award-winning, disruptive products that serve a purpose for both professionals and consumers. Our evidence-based education remains on the forefront of research, and we believe professional awareness and education are vital to a growing industry. Massage therapists and bodyworkers benefit from our resources that are focused on taking the intimidation out of the equation and replacing it with confidence and competence. We’re always developing more innovative products and education, so keep an eye out for what’s coming next on our website and social media community!

US Department of Education 150% Rule Update

A federal judge has granted a preliminary injunction that halts the enforcement of the US Department of Education’s new Bare Minimum Rule, also known as the “100% rule,” until the court takes further action. This is the first step in what could be a lengthy battle to ultimately delay enforcement of the rule, providing schools more time to adjust their programmatic standards, or overturn the rule altogether.
