California COVID-19 Update—County Variance Information

Governor Newsom announced on July 13, 2020, that counties that have remained on the County Monitoring List for three consecutive days must close indoor businesses, which includes those offering personal care services as of July 13, 2020, “unless they can be modified to operate outside or by pick-up.”

It has come to our attention that many of our members received a letter from the City of San Francisco to cease and desist the practice of massage (defined as massage and bodywork in the Massage Practice Act) if you do not have a "Health Permit to Operate."
