Color Up Certified by Peta as a Cruelty-Free Vegan Company

Color Up was recently certified by PETA as a cruelty-free vegan company. PETA’s Global Beauty Without Bunnies program lists companies and brands that don’t test on animals, and has been the gold standard for those looking to shop with compassion since 1987.

“To be certified by PETA as a cruelty-free vegan company means everything to us, and along with becoming oncology approved, is one of the greatest accomplishments of our lifetime,” says Color Up co-founder and COO Shauna Blanch. “When we founded Color Up in 2015, Bryce Conley, Will Parker, and I fully agreed that creating a safe space for humans and animals alike would be our number-one goal. We live by this goal daily as we lead our team, formulate products, and serve guests (including our furry friends) from our Wellness Center in Denver.”

According to PETA’s website, the Global Beauty Without Bunnies program is “the ultimate resource for conscientious shoppers, making the quest for humane products as easy as (vegan) pie. Our list has grown immensely over the years, from a dozen mail-order companies to thousands of companies that refuse to conduct, commission, pay for, or allow tests on animals for any of their ingredients, formulations, or products anywhere in the world.” Consumers can search by company, brand name, and product type; Color Up’s listing may be found here

With a vast amount of knowledge in their repertoire, it was a love for animals and their wellbeing that prompted Blanch, Conley and Parker to begin a journey with producing their own CBD-infused products. The Denver-based co-founders started making CBD products when their dog Kali was diagnosed with cancer. The experience with extending Kali’s life, combined with success stories from those who were trying the products, led the team to growing the brand into internal and body care in 2017, and skin care in 2018.
